Building The Foundation Of Next-Generation Braille Accessibility

Internal refreshable Braille cell mechanism with stacked actuators and pins exposed.

1. Standardized & Modular Braille Display Technology: Electromagnetic + Shape Memory Alloy Hybrid Actuation

This online reading app of the Book City contains 80,000 books. Compatible with the Wiltrue braille display, it supports unlimited reading time and free book uploading. Texts can be converted into braille output and it supports 84 braille languages to remove reading restrictions.

2. AI-Powered Braille Multimedia Translation: Making Digital Content Accessible

The user opens the book city on a Hasee laptop, paired with Zeta, a 4-line 120-cell refreshable braille display to synchronously output braille, enabling visually impaired people to read online books without barriers.

Education & Public Services

Supporting Inclusive Learning And Communication

A visually impaired person reads e-books on the first-generation Wiltrue braille display. Unlike bulky paper braille books with fixed content, this lightweight device refreshes massive online books instantly for flexible reading.

Accessible Libraries

Bringing Digital Knowledge Within Reach

At the exhibition booth, staff guide two visually impaired visitors to read books with the Zhiyin 30-cell braille display. They are fully immersed in reading, with Zeta (4-line 120-cell refreshable braille display) and Fangcun 30-cell braille display placed on the table.

Accessible Museums

Making Culture Touchable

"We hope to combine touch and hearing to provide blind people with a more efficient and autonomous interaction method, enabling them to live more efficiently and independently."
