Well, I'd really give more like a 4.5, but I don't want to round down to 4.

OK, this thing is slicker than snot. A couple weeks ago, Sam from The Blind Life posted a review video of this accessible power bank, and really, it’s everything he said it was. I got mine yesterday, and I like it. With a couple of really nice touches. OK, for a 10,000 mA/H battery, it’s a bit spendy, but, well, it was cool enough that my wife, who is sighted and doesn’t need the accessibility features at all, wanted one.
Physically, it’s a 10,000 mA/H battery with both USB-C and USB-A inputs, one of each. It will fast charge itself, and it can deliver up to 22.5 watts to your phone to charge *that* fast, too. There’s a button on the side. Press it once and it will indicate the battery charge. Hold the button and it changes the indicator between voice, tactile, or both. The voice will also tell you when it’s discharging, i.e. when you plug something into it, as well as when it’s charging. It will also tell you when the battery is fully charged. One thing I have not yet determined, as I’ve only received this thing yesterday, is whether it will do pass through charging, i.e. charge a device while plugged into power to charge at the same time. I'll say that it does a good job; I charged my iPhone 16 Pro from 3% to 90%, and the power bank still had 52% charge. Considering that I was also using Facebook, a real power draw, I'm pleased.

No real instructions to use this thing are needed, but you get them. There’s a card with two QR codes on it. It’s a bit unclear on which code does what, but they’re outlined with tactile boxes to assist with aligning your camera. The left one links to the manual, and the right one links to a Tiktok video. The card also includes Braille that says what the QR codes link to; the one for Tiktok runs all the way across both boxes, and the one that reads for instructions starts to the left and ends up under the boxes. There is also a Braille label embossed directly into the box containing the power bank that says it’s a tactile power bank. Nice touch. Pun possibly intended, or maybe not.

If I had any complaints, they are these, and they’re mostly minor:
* The Braille, and the outlines for the QR codes, is pretty flat. Does anyone remember the Dot Watch? The Braille reminds me of the Braille produced with the Dot Watch materials. If you have any degradation in the sensitivity of your fingers, you’ll struggle with the Braille.
* Similarly, while better, the indicator dots on the end of the power bank are a little low, so if you have neuropathy, they might be hard to feel. I have pretty decent sense of touch, so I didn’t really have trouble with this.
* The USB-C charge cable that’s included is maybe 6 inches long. That’s *really* short. I don’t like this trend towards ultra short charge cables included with accessories lately.
* The voice does not have any volume adjustments. It’s either on or off.
* Finally, there are definitely smaller 10000 mA/H power banks out there. This one is pretty big, size-wise, say about the size of an iPhone, but thicker. Iexpect more cells could be installed for a larger capacity at, of course, a higher price.

Thank you so much for this amazing charger. I was introduced to this item via The Blind Life youtube channel. I've purchased several accessibility components demonstrated by Sam. I'm so glad you allowed him to feature the XO accessible charger. It works as described, and the Braille info sheet was very helpful.
FYI - I'm so impressed with the XO I put one up for auction on the out-of-sight.net auction taking place in September 2026.

I received my XO 10KmAH power bank and discovered that it did not come with a charging cable. I bought a USB C cable and USB charger from Amazon. The bank was at 99% when it arrived. When I received the cable and charger I connected it. It told me that it was now charging. It did not take long to get to full charge. It works well. The voice provides very granular power charge reports. I would request these enhancements: add a third port, perhaps a uUSB port to charge from, and 2. offer a 20KmAH version. Great product!

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that the XO Power Bank is working well for you and that you find the detailed voice battery updates useful.

We’re sorry that the included charging cable was not suitable for your setup. We’ve noted this feedback and will take it into consideration when reviewing the accessories included with the product.

We’ve also recorded your suggestion about adding another charging port. More connection options could make the product more convenient.

A 20,000mAh version is already in our product development plan, so your feedback also helps confirm the demand for a larger-capacity version.

Thank you again for using XO and for helping us improve the product.

The packaging was really tight ¨C took me a while to get it open. But once I did, the product itself is great. The voice and tactile dots make checking battery so easy. Worth the struggle.

Delivery box was crushed, but the power bank inside was fine. Not the product's fault, but I'm annoyed. 4 stars because shipping.

Sorry to hear about the delivery experience! We're glad the product itself arrived safely.

The voice is a bit loud in quiet rooms, but I just use the tactile dots instead. Would be 5 if I could turn it down.

Thanks for your feedback! Glad the tactile dots work well as an alternative for you.

Tired of guessing how much juice is left on conventional power banks. This one offers 4?point tactile feedback at around 25% per dot. One button cycles voice, tactile, or mixed alerts. It notifies you on charging start, discharging and low battery. The spoken battery percentage is a game?changer. Build quality feels durable. It does take a little while to fully recharge itself, but thats expected for this capacity. Very happy purchase.

The power bank is highly praised for its performance and design. It can charge a laptop with 4% battery to full in 2 hours and 10 minutes, delivering nearly the full power the laptop requires. The device features tactile dots, a loud clicky button, braille on the packaging, and both USB-C and USB-A ports. It's compact (smaller than an iPhone), fits easily in a pocket, and feels sturdy enough to withstand drops. A USB-C to USB-C cable is included, which can charge both the power bank and other devices. The user suggests adding a protective film over the tactile dots for the final version. Functions include holding the button to change modes, double-clicking for silent mode, and pressing the button to retract the dots.

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for your reply, and for taking my feedback so seriously. It's really encouraging to hear that the team is already discussing some of the ideas and improvements. I'm looking forward to seeing how the product develops over time.

A small update regarding communication: Apple fixed the Braille Screen Input bug in the latest iOS 27 developer beta, so I can now type on my iPhone again. That means I'm happy to continue either by email or WhatsApp—whatever is most convenient for you.

I've now had a few more days to use the power bank, and I have a few additional observations that may be useful.

First, regarding the tactile battery dots.

I still think this is one of the best accessibility features of the product, but I've noticed that the mechanism isn't always reliable. The dots don't consistently pop up and stay in the raised position.

For example, when the power bank is fully charged, I sometimes only get three raised dots, occasionally only two, and every now and then all four. Pressing the button often makes another dot pop up, but not always all of them. It feels like the release mechanism is working, but one or more dots don't always lock into the raised position properly.

Since these dots are an important accessibility feature, I think it's worth looking into whether the mechanical locking mechanism can be made more reliable.

The second thing I've noticed is the battery capacity.

I mentioned after my first tests that I wanted to give it a few charge cycles before drawing any conclusions, but after several days of use I'm still seeing the same pattern.

The power bank is specified as having a 10,000 mAh battery, but in practice it behaves much more like a 4,000 mAh battery.

As an example, today I charged my iPhone from 53% to 72%, so the phone gained 19%. During exactly the same charging session, the power bank dropped from 100% to 82%, a loss of 18%.

I've seen almost identical results on both my own iPhone 17 Pro and my son's iPhone 16e. Both phones have batteries of around 4,000 mAh, so when the percentage gained on the phone is almost identical to the percentage lost from the power bank, it doesn't seem consistent with a 10,000 mAh capacity.

Of course I know there are conversion losses when charging, so I wouldn't expect a full 10,000 mAh in real-world use, but I would still expect significantly more capacity than I'm seeing.

I'm not sure whether the unit I received is an early prototype with a smaller battery, or whether there is another explanation, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Finally, I have one idea for future generations of the product.

The power bank is almost exactly the same size as modern iPhones, which made me think that it could be an interesting candidate for MagSafe support in a future version.

Even if wireless charging isn't possible, simply adding MagSafe magnets would allow the power bank to attach securely to the back of an iPhone while still using a USB-C cable. That alone would make it much easier to carry both devices together.

If you ever decide to add wireless MagSafe charging as well, one challenge would be the increasingly large camera bump on modern iPhones. Perhaps the lighter end of the power bank could be redesigned with a small recessed area that allows room for the camera module, so the power bank can sit flat against the phone.

This is just an idea for a future model, not a suggestion for the current one, but it seemed worth mentioning while I was thinking about the design.

Overall I'm still very happy with the product, and especially with the accessibility features you've included. I'll continue using it over the coming weeks, and if I discover anything else that might be useful, I'll let you know.

The tactile dots are cool.Giving 4 stars because the button is right where my thumb goes, keep hitting it.

Thanks for your feedback! Glad you like the tactile dots.

This power bank is nicely built. I really like the four?dot tactile feedback; each dot stands for roughly 25% remaining power. You can toggle feedback modes: voice only, tactile only, or both. Notifications fire for charge?in, charge?out and low?battery conditions. The audio announcement works reliably when plugging and unplugging devices. Capacity meets my daily needs for work trips. I wish the built?in cable was a bit longer; it gets tight when I use it while my phone sits in my backpack pocket. Still would recommend for visually impaired friends.

I bought this unit mainly because of its voice prompt feature. As a low?vision user, I no longer need to squint at tiny LED lights to check battery level. Charging speed is solid for my iPhone. My only minor complaint is the body feels a little heavier than my old 10000mAh power bank. Overall well?thought?out for accessibility.
